Solar System Map

One can enter the solar system map through tapping certain dot in the realm map.  The main purpose of solar system map is to show all the celestial bodies within, and to list main activities a player can play in this solar system.

 

One can switch between the realm map and the solar system map by tapping the icon at the top left corner.

 

Name Tag

 

The name tag at the top of the solar system map shows the chosen solar system's name, sovereignty owner's logo, and its development level. For more info, one can tap this tag to view a detail panel:

 

Probes

 

Along the left edge of the solar system map, there are 4 round icons. Each of them is corresponding to a type of probes that can be used in the solar system the player is currently in:

 

Encounter probe is for the encounter quests. Upon using each probe, one gets 3 acceptable encounter quests in this solar system. Encounter probes respawn every 12 hours, and one can have up to 4 such probes at the same time.

 

Dispatch probe is for the dispatch quests. Upon using each probe, one gets 6 acceptable dispatch quests in this solar system. Encounter probes respawn every 1 hour, and one can have up to 5 such probes at the same time.

 

Raid probe is for the raid activities. Upon using each probe, one gets the locations of unfriendly players and their recruits within the solar system. Raid probes respawn every 2 hours, and one can have up to 24 such probes at the same time.

 

Watchtower works like free raid probes. The difference is it can only be used in the solar system where the player's Corp holds sovereignty, and has built watchtowers in.

 

At the top right of these icons, a number is shown to tell how many available probes are there. If a probe hasn't accumulated to its max number, there will be a timer displayed at the center of its corresponding icon showing how long till next probe respawn.

 

Targets and Quests

 

Along the right edge of the solar system map, there are 5 rectangular icons. Each of them is corresponding to a type of targets or quests that is available in the solar system the player is currently in:

 

Celestial bodies include the sun, planets, wormholes and public locations like stargates and space stations in this solar system. More info can be seen by tapping an entry.

 

Accepted quests, available quests and dispatch quests are all quests in this solar system. Tapping any entry will show its objective, rewards, recommended level and admitted ships, etc.

 

Raid targets show the located targets from raid probes. Tapping any entry will show the target's name, affiliation, level, current activities and ship, etc.

 

Sovereignty Map

 

There are in fact two versions of solar system maps in the game: personal version and Corp version. The one covered above is the personal version, and its main functions are listing all the available activities in the solar system. The Corp version, i.e. the sovereignty map, can be accessed by tapping Sovereignty of the Corp module within a space station. Its main functions are showing the current sovereignty and Corp facilities, posting Corp quests, and declaring sovereignty wars.

 

Sovereignty map shares the similar structures with personal solar system map. Along the left edge, there are icons for Corp activities:

 

Along the right edge, there are Corp facilities and Sovereignty facilities in the current solar system. When checking on a solar system held by another Corp, the detailed info can only be viewed when the player or other Corp members are in this solar system.

 

Conclusion

 

One can access solar system map through the realm map. There are two versions of solar system maps: the personal version and the Corp version. Their interfaces look similar, but each is with its distinct functions.

 

The main purposes of personal solar system map are listing available personal activities one can conduct in the current solar system, including encounter quests, dispatch quests, raid and watchtower signals. When the player uses a probe, the scanned results will be shown in the corresponding entries at the right side. Tap any of the entries to show more info.

 

The Sovereignty map is mainly for listing Corp based activities in the current solar system, including Corp quests and sovereignty wars. At the right side, players can see the already unfurled Corp facilities and sovereignty facilities in the solar system. For more facility info of solar systems held by other Corps, the player or other Corp members must be in that solar system.
