Capital ships

Capital ships are produced by corporations and owned by corporations. This article describes how to produce, unfurl, equip, and pilot a capital ship.

Unfurl a capital ship

You must unfurl a capital ship before piloting it. To unfurl a capital ship, you must have a shipyard in the solar system your Corp holds.

There are five levels of a shipyard. Each level provides a capital hangar in your shipyard, which means you can hold up to 5 capital ships in one solar system. When your Corp unfurls a shipyard, the Capital Ship Management feature is unlocked. The layout of this feature is like that of the Ship Hangar feature.

Like adding a ship to your ship hangar, you can tap an empty capital hangar and select a capital ship from your corp warehouse.

Note that unfurling a capital ship takes some time. When you start unfurling a capital ship, the capital hangar is occupied and the process cannot be stopped midway.

Equip a capital ship

You cannot change the weapons or devices of a capital ship, but you can change its components.

A capital ship requires energy to run, but its energy doesn't regenerate automatically. Therefore, you must charge your capital ship with energy blocks before it leaves the space station. Otherwise, the weapons and devices cannot be activated.

Capital ship do not require loading ammo. In addition, since capital ships do not require energy to warp or jump, they can leave the battlefield even if the energy blocks are used up.

Lock a capital ship

Capital ships are owned by your Corp. You must have the Captain title in your Corp to lock and pilot a capital ship.

Moreover, you must have the qualifications to pilot capital ship. You can get the qualification from different nations via Sub Plot.

When you meet the requirements above, go to Capital Ship Management and lock the capital ship.

You cannot lock a ship that has been locked by another player. If you need to unlock that capital ship, you need to contact that player or the administrator of that capital ship.

Board a capital ship

You must go to the shipyard to board a capital ship. You can tap Go below the details of the capital ship to navigate to the shipyard.

When you reach the shipyard, interact with it to board the capital ship you locked.

Now you are on the capital ship. To go back to your ship, you need to return the capital ship.

Return the capital ship

Interact with the shipyard again to return the capital ship board on your own ship. There are some special mechanics that make it more convenient.

You can return the capital ship to other shipyards. If you do, it will take some time for the capital ship to be unfurled again in the original shipyard.

If the shipyard where the capital ship is unfurled is destroyed or retrieved, you can return the capital ship to other shipyards, and that ship will be sent to the corp warehouse.

If you pilot a capital ship and go offline for more than 48 hours, the capital ship you are piloting is returned to the corp warehouse automatically. When you are back online, you are on your own ship.

If all you corp's shipyards are destroyed, you can log out and then log in to return your capital ship.

Portal jump

Capital ships cannot pass through stargates, but they can perform portal jumps to reach other solar systems with their jump engines. You can perform a portal jump by tapping the icon right to the devices.

When you begins a portal jump, the map opens and you will find how far you can jump. If you plan to jump to a solar system and your Corp hasn't activated a jump portal there, you will go to a random location in that solar system. It's called a random portal jump.

If you perform a random portal jump, you will be displayed on the third tab in other players' overview.

After performing a portal jump, the capital ship cannot move, warp, or jump for a short time. The further you jump, the longer it takes for the capital ship to recover.

Moreover, your allies can use the portal generated by your capital ship for portal jumps.
