Corp Logistic Support

The main purpose of Corp Logistic Support is to ensure an adequate supply of resources a corporation needs in the face of a war. In non-war time, the corporation collects various necessary supplies from the corp members; in wartime, the supplies will be distributed in return to the corp members to ensure they can hold out till the end for the win.

 

Compared with individual logistic support, corp scaled logistic support is so much more complex that only if the joint effects are achieved by the corp members will it work well. This article will first introduce three major services of the Corp Logistic Support system that have everything to do with each corp member: Corp Warehouse, Corp Purchase and Compensation.

 

Corp Warehouse

 

Corp Warehouse lies on the top middle of the main page of the Corporation panel. It's composed of Wallet and Warehouse, where the balances of Corp Wallet and all corp items are respectively displayed in categories.

 

A Corp Wallet uses Gala as its currency, which mounts up, in early days, mostly from the corp members' daily donations. Specifically, the corporation can accept donations of up to 1,000,000 Gala on a daily basis. While each Gala donation is transferred into Corp Wallet, an equal amount of Corp Pts will be rewarded in return to the donators. Corp Pts can be used by corp members to purchase items exclusively available in the Corp Pts Store in Galaxia.

 

Besides donations, over time, the corporation can earn huge amounts of Gala by selling mineral output in its sovereign solar systems. More details related to this feature has been introduced in a previous article regarding corp gameplay.

 

Corp Warehouse, most similar to Warehouse of a Pilot, mainly stores regular ships and attachments collected through Corp Purchase orders. In addition, Corp Warehouse includes two special categories: Facilities and Capital Ship, which store respectively space facilities and Capital Ships built by the corporation through Corp Production.

 

Corp Purchase

 

Corp Purchase can be looked on as an internal market inside a Corporation where preset fleet combat configurations oriented individual resources and supplies will be collected in non-wartime in preparation of a potential war to ensure adequate ships and attachments are available for compensation.

 

Those corp members who have the corresponding corp management role can create orders based on saved configurations from Ship Hangar or manually create orders on the Corp Purchase panel.

 

When a purchase order is created, the unit price is automatically set in line with the average price of all the transactions completed yesterday in the Trading Post and cannot be set manually.

 

With the order created, the corp members can obtain the corresponding blueprint through either wormhole gameplay, Development or redemption from the Rep Store, manufacture products with the blueprint through Production and sell the products to the corporation.

 

Unlike transactions in the Mall, where Credits will be transferred after a 4-hour delay period, Gala will be transferred right away to the seller from the Corp Wallet once a Corp Purchase order is fulfilled.

 

Compensation

 

A ship destroyed can be looked on as a death penalty, which is a harsh one, since all the attachments and cargoes are gone with it. However, players are not expected to lose faith in themselves because of such a loss. Thus there are two approaches to compensation regarding the two ship loss scenarios in the game.

 

For those ships destroyed by NPC, players will be granted two ship restorations per day for free by purchasing Adventure Plan. Alternatively, players can sign a Restoration Contract on a specific ship loss.

 

Since a Restoration Contract can only cover a PVE loss, for those ships destroyed in PVP combat, players as corp members can send applications to their corporations for compensation.

 

All pending compensation applications are visible on the Compensation panel and will be approved by those corp members who have the corresponding management role, when the compensation will be offered from the Corp Warehouse. In other cases, players can donate to each other to earn Corp Pts twice the estimated value of each donation.

 

A compensation application has an expiry period of 72 hours. During this period, the applicant needs to ensure his Base is located in the Corp Camp or in one of the corp's sovereign solar systems. Once an application regarding a specific loss is sent and expires, it will be closed and no duplicate can be sent again.

 

Conclusion

 

Corp Warehouse, Corp Purchase and Compensation are three major services of the Corp Logistic Support system.

 

A corp member can donate on a daily basis 1,000,000 Gala to his corporation in exchange of equivalent Corp Pts. With donations collected from all the corp members, the corporation can create Corp Purchase orders for supplies and resources oriented by its fleet combat configurations. To meet the demands of these orders, the corp members dedicate their individual logistic efforts in exchange of Gala rewards. Eventually, the supplies and resources return to those corp members who suffer from losses in combat through the Compensation service.
