Operations
Operations is the most basic feature in Second Galaxy. You can receive handsome rewards after completing operations. As an accessible, safe, and rewarding feature, operations are recommended for new players to get familiar with the game.
Ops
Ops is the hub of all operations. You can access it by tapping Ops on the left-side navigation pane, or tapping the icon in the lower-left corner.
Main Plot
Main Plot takes a look at the world of Second Galaxy, which is also the beginning of your trip. You can access Main Plot on the first tab of Ops.
All missions in Main Plot are one-time only. They provide massive in-game resources, a full set of ships of your character's nation, weapons, attachments, and a large amount of EXP. Main Plot contains several chapters. The later chapters require your character to reach certain levels.
Sub Plot
All missions in Sub Plot, like those in Main Plot, are one-time only. Sub Plot contains some stories that make you have a better standing of the world. Sub Plot leads you to travel around Origin and meet different characters in different nations.
Unlocking Sub Plot missions requires some prerequisites. Some prerequisites are hidden. Players who are interested in stories will learn more about the world via Sub Plot. Completing Sub Plot missions grants you handsome rewards.
Reputation quests
Serve the five nations by completing Reputation Quests. You can claim up to 20 Reputation Quests per week. Completing a Reputation Quest assigned by a nation's agent grants you Merit Pts and Rep Pts of that nation.
Accumulate Rep Pts to upgrade your reputation from Neutral to Accepted, Trusted, Idolized, and Renowned. Raise your reputation to access higher-ranked agents.
Higher-ranked agents provide more Rep Pts. Since the number of Reputation Quests you can claim per week is limited, you can fast collect Merit Pts by completing Reputation Quests assigned by Higher-ranked agents. Merit Pts can be used in Merit Stores to purchase implants and blueprints of T2 ships, weapon, devices, and components.
Encounter quests
You will detect some signals from the map, which brings your Encounter quests. To find a Encounter quest, first find a solar system with proper prosperity index and activity level.
You can use the filter on the map to check the prosperity index and activity level of each solar system. For more information, see the Realm Map article.
After the solar system is selected, relocate your Base to that solar system if needed. For more information, see the Interstellar Travel article.
When you are ready, open the map and tap the Encounter Probe icon to find an Encounter quest. Using 1 Probe allows you to access three Encounter quests. You get 1 Probe every 12 hours, and you can hold up to 4 Probes at the same time.
After completing an Encounter quest, you may receive implants, ammo blueprints (random quality), and encrypted caches (random quality). Implants can be used to arm yourself and ammo blueprints can be used to produce ammo. You can also use them to develop advanced implants and ammo. Encrypted caches are keys to Exploration quests. For more information, see the Exploration article.
Virus crisis
Virus crisis quests are similar to encounter quests. Solar systems will be infected by The Virus randomly. There you will have the chance to detect virus crisis quests. You can relocate your Base to an infected solar system and reduce the infection degree. When the infection degree of a solar system is reduced to 0. You will find a special quest in this solar system, and you will receive a lot of minerals after completing it.
