A Letter to All Pilots 2.0

Dear Pilots:

 

Since Second Galaxy's launch, we have been lucky enough to receive the love and support of pilots all over the world. However, over the past few weeks, a series of problems have presented various setbacks and obstacles, negatively affecting your experience in the game. The situation is indeed a serious one, and we agree that something needs to change. Since Second Galaxy's launch, the game's development has endured numerous challenges, and the Great Council has also been faced with many important choices, which have all led to the amazing world of Second Galaxy we know and love today. We are now faced with another choice, a choice with only one option, and that option is to choose you, each and every pilot from all over the world! We respect you all — equally and unconditionally.

 

Today, we'll review the recent problems we've faced with you, the details of the careful judgments we've made, and our plans for the game's future:

 

I. Summary and Progress of Recent Issues

1. Regarding the abnormal item issue, data processing for all abnormal accounts has been completed. You can view a full description of this issue, a list of pilots involved, and the way in which their cases were handled on our official website.

2. Regarding the issue related to the Sovereignty War that took place in the VB716 star system and its surrounding systems, the Great Council has now completed processing all data related to this issue. For more details, please refer to the corresponding announcement.

3. Regarding the 2,000+ Sovereignty War player limit, the basic development plan for this issue has been confirmed. You can check the “Star System Sovereignty War Player Limit Optimization Report” to review the latest developments.

4. The Revolution description issue has been fixed. For details, please refer to the “Revolution Superdevice Info Announcement”.

 

II. Problem Resolution for Existing Major Issues

1. The XC5 star system failed to function correctly due to the upper player limit mechanism, and the solution for this player cap problem has now been confirmed. The Great Council has decided that Corporations who previously declared war in the XC5 star system will be compensated twice their war declaration costs in the near future, so as to compensate pilots who experienced the negative effects of the player limit during warfare. 

2. The ZUK3 star system’s battle report issue has now been repaired. These repairs will be rolled out in the next update. The details of the most intense, yet most tragic war between thousands of Second Galaxy’s strongest pilots will soon be displayed for all the galaxy to see.

3. In the Sovereignty War on October 25th, due to an abnormality related to the superdevice of the EDEN Corporation’s Minaret capital ship, the Great Council will also complete compensation for this problem within the next 3 working days, so as to compensate pilots affected.

4. Regarding the progress and management of historical issues, the Great Council recognizes that some of these issues were not dealt with in a satisfactory manner, and that this needs to be improved. To this end, the Great Council will focus on the remaining issue over the coming week, and aims to solve all present and future issues with a more dedicated and hard-working attitude.

 

III. Bug Feedback System

Seeing that there are many problems in the game and that your input is critical to resolving them, the Great Council has decided to establish an online bug reporting system, with a corresponding reward mechanism in the near future. The detailed feedback process and reward rules will be announced soon.

 

IV. Unified Communication System

From December 2019 onward, the Great Council will regularly collect feedback and suggestions in the form of questionnaires within the game on a monthly basis, and organize and integrate the latest feedback results into the game. We hope to work closely with you all to build a brighter future.

 

V. Review and Reflection

As a revolutionary open-world combat game, Second Galaxy has introduced constant innovations and adjustments to many aspects of the game experience. However, due to a lack of empirical experience, as well as the unknown nature of the challenges faced along this revolutionary journey, unexpected problems have arisen. These issues, combined with frequent maintenance periods and updates, have led to an unpleasant game experience for many of you. We have decided to invest more energy and manpower from now on, strengthening quality control to reduce the chances of new problems arising, and reduce the future impact of such issue on Second Galaxy’s pilots.

 

VI. Server-wide Compensation Plan for Recent Issues

In response to the recent problems, the 10-day login event originally scheduled to start on November 24th will be extended for one week from November 24th to December 10th. At 02:00 (GT) every day, the Great Council will issue 1 Senior Recruit Employment Contract to each pilot in the game. Please check you inbox at that time to get yours.

The road we travel as we head toward this dream may be filled with unknown struggles and strife, but these setbacks will only make the rewards of our final destination all the more worthwhile.
