Sovereignty War Star System Player Limit Update

2019-11-25 09:49:05

Respected Pilots:

After experiencing the historical large-scale Sovereignty War of November 8th 2019, which resulted in some pilots being unable to enter the game, we have complied a preliminary progress report clarifying the current problems and optimization direction.
With regards to this Sovereignty War star system player limit issue, we have established new goals and made progress in optimizing the game accordingly.
We would like to update you all on the current status of this issue and answer the main questions regarding the future of large-scale battles. Thank you all for your unfaltering understanding and support.

1. How can we meet current and future 2,000+ player battle expectations?
① In the upcoming version 1.5, the star system player limit will be greatly increased, from the current limit of 2,000 to 3,000 players. At the same time, in order to ensure regular star system functionality, the spatial rejection mechanism will only be triggered after 2,000 players are in a system. Players excluded from star systems via spatial rejection will be sent to their space station bases.
② Star system spatial rejection follows the same rules as zone spatial rejection, and the primary goal is to ensure that effective combat units remain in battle.

2. How can we maintaining balance in battle when the number of players exceeds the limit?
① Star system spatial rejection effectively avoids situations where one side accounts for the entire population of a star system.
② Spatial rejection start-up time will be extended from the original 60 seconds to approximately 180 seconds, leaving pilots more time to organize their tactical and strategic preparations and adjustments.

3. How can be we improve combat experience on a single battlefield when increasing server quantity and configuration is not a comprehensive solution?
① The number of people rejected from zones will be increased from 400 to 600.
② Players rejected from zones will be relocated to a random location in the current star system instead of their initial space station bases, in order to ameliorate the general experience and inconvenience of spatial rejection.
③ A spatial rejection mechanism has been added to star gate and space station zones. At the same time, in order to ensure an enjoyable experience in combat zones and to accommodate more player ships, Recruits will be recalled when the number of players in the same star gate or space station reaches 400. When the number of people in a zone drops to 200, you’ll be able to summon Recruits again.

Summary: The number of players allowed in a single zone will be significantly expanded following the update. Spatial rejection rules will continue to be optimized and implemented to ensure the best combat experience possible for all pilots, while maintaining a fair and balanced environment.
